An art exhibition titled ‘Lifelike Similes’ by Aqeel Javaid and Kamran Ahmed will kick off at Gallery-6 today (Saturday). The exhibition will showcase a variety of paintings following unique themes and ideas. Aqeel is a Rawalpindi-based artist who did his Masters in Fine Arts from the Punjab University Lahore in 2006. He has held three solo exhibitions and participated in 9 group shows in Lahore. Kamran graduated from the Karachi School of Arts in 1996. He has also participated in 9 group shows in Karachi and Dubai and spent several years abroad in the animation industry. Both artists are realistic painters who create quality artwork that draws attention. This would be their first exhibition in Islamabad.
