Several students were injured when the roof of a school building caved in on Thursday.
According to details, the roof of a private school located in Mohallah Qasaban of Dera Ismail Khan suddenly collapsed when the students and teachers were busy in academic activities. As a result, dozens of children were buried under the rubble.
The locals, rescue teams and parents of the children reached the scene and started rescue operation.
The injured children were taken to hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, talking to INP news agency, parents of the injured children and members of the civil society expressed anguish over negligence of the school administration and putting the lives of innocent children at stake. They demanded authorities take action against the school administration.
