PPP supports deployment of Army during general elections

Pakistan People’s Party has requested the Election Commission of Pakistan to deploy Army on polling stations to ensure maintenance of law and order during general elections.
In a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Fakhar-ud-Din G Ibrahim here on Thursday, President of the Punjab chapter of PPP Mian Manzoor Wattoo expressed his reservations regarding bad law and order situation, open use of arms and rigging during recently held by-polls. He said that Army be deployed to avoid any unpleasant incident during general elections.
Wattoo also demanded of CEC to allow the provision of transport facility to the party during general elections.
