The fourth scholarship certificate distribution ceremony held here under the patronage of MOL Pakistan.
An announcement here on Wednesday said the MOL Pakistan is known for its CSR initiatives in all over the country in general and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in particular.
It said within the scholarship programme the company offers two types of scholarships to the talented students from Khyber Pukhtunkhwa.
One category is called intermediate scholarships and the other is known as technical training scholarships (BE, Geology and& DAE). The scholarship offered covers tuition fee, boarding and lodging and cost of books at the rate of Rs 4,000 per month and are given over a period of two years paid on six monthly basis to students of MOL Pakistan’s operational areas. A total of 97 scholarships have been awarded this year to students from three districts of Karak, Hangu and Kohat in TAL Block.
For engineering and geology students Rs 10,000 per month and for DAE students Rs 7,000 per month was offered over a period of two years paid on six monthly/semester basis.
In all, 36 scholarships were awarded in technical education, 17 scholarships have been awarded to the engineering students, three to geology students and 16 to DAE students. The students who received these scholarships hail from Karak, Kohat and Hangu.
It merits mentioning here that next scholarships have already been announced for the next session of 2012-2014 and will be awarded after completion of process.
During the certificate ceremony, MOL Pakistan, Erno Liptak Managing Director congratulated the recipients of scholarship certificates and hoped this scholarship would fill in a new spirit in the students.
Underlining the importance of education issues he said, `MOL Pakistan considers education as the most powerful instrument that brings positive change in the attitude and behavior of the people and helps in alleviating poverty by producing skilled manpower’.
Erno Liptak added that his company is committed to providing best chances to those students who perform exceptionally well under considerable odds and show to the world that there is no dearth of talent in them.
