The city police on Wednesday killed two suspected dacoits in an encounter in Sheikhupura. Sources said that two police personnel were also injured in the exchange of gunfire. According to details, two robbers were allegedly caught red-handed by the police during a bank robbery. However, four accomplices of the robbers managed to escape. Police sources claimed that while they were on the hunt for the escaped criminals, armed men opened fire on the officials, injuring two police personnel. In retaliatory fire, the police killed two men. Sources claimed that the killed robbers belonged to Waziristan.
