Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister on Media & Auqaf Sharmila Farooque has said that the nation should be united against those who are fanning the flames of sectarianism and hatred as they are anti-state elements. Farooque said that the entire country was united against violence including the people belonging to various sects, adding that they have no enmity with each other. Farooque said this while talking to media persons while visiting the injured Syeda Mehzal Zehra here at a local hospital and presented her a bouquet of flowers. On this occasion she assured full support to the injured family on behalf of the Sindh government.
Farooque further said that the government was against terrorism and extremism. She also said that certain elements wanted to destroy the peace of Karachi city.
Moreover, she said that the anti-state elements had been working to create differences between Shias and Sunnis, however the people of Karachi would foil their ulterior motives, she added. “Protection of the life and property of the people is the prime responsibility of the government and the government will provide effective security at any cost,” she concluded.
