According to a survey conducted by the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday, an overwhelming majority (82 percent) think that the illegal interference of the government in the affairs of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) was a revenge for the fake degrees issue.
A total of 12,372 people responded to the survey till Tuesday evening among which 82 percent thought that the government was taking revenge from the HEC over the fake degrees issue, while five percent thought that it was not the case. Thirteen percent of the respondents said they “don’t know” about the issue.
The respondents were asked this question: “Do you think that the government’s illegal meddling in the affairs of the HEC was in revenge for the fake degrees issue.”
