Islamabad Police have arrested ten outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 1.300 kilograms of hashish, 32 wine bottles, weapons and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Monday.
According to details, after receiving a tip-off, Sub-Inspector (SI) Saleem Ullah from the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad police nabbed Barkat Ali and Mehboob and recovered 1.300 kilograms of hashish from them.
Similarly, SI Muhammad Tehseen from Golra police nabbed Afzaal for having 140 grams of heroin while SI Shahid Mehmud from Secretariat police apprehended a thief Iftikhar besides recovering a stolen item worth Rs. 50,000 from him.
Furthermore, SI Rab Nawaz from the Tarnol Police Station stopped a car (IDM-9110) for checking during routine patrolling and recovered 24 wine bottles from the vehicle while the three passengers named Habib, Aslam and Sher Ali were also arrested.
Meanwhile, two thieves identified as Altaf and Azaad Khan were also arrested by Tarnol police and Rs. 1, 20,000 were recovered from him.
Moreover, SI Muhammad Shafique from Nilore police nabbed Khalid Mehmud for carrying a 30 bore pistol along with eight rounds.
Cases have been registered against all the arrested persons under relevant sections and further investigations were underway.
