Punjab Education Minister Mujtaba Shujauddin said on Sunday that there was a need for prompt response by authorities to release and implement education funds.
The minister said that nearly 25 percent of Punjab’s budget went to the education sector however more funds were required.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Education Minister Sardar Hussain Babak said funds released for education were not sufficient to meet the growing demand of education in the provinces. He demanded a two percent increase in funds for the education sector.
Balochistan Additional Secretary Rashid Razik said the education ratio in the province was 1.8 percent due to terrorism and non-disbursement and utilisation of funds.
