Olson expresses concerns over Pak-Iran gas pipeline

United States Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson on Monday said that US has concerns on Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project.
During his visit at Quaid-e-Azam’s Mausoleum in Karachi, the US ambassador said, “We do have concerns about Iran’s potential development as a nuclear power and that we are not alone in that regard and that this is the strongly held consensus view of the international community.”
He also said that his country was ready to cooperate with Pakistan in the energy sector in order to curb the energy shortage faced by the country.
“We believe in religious independence,” Olson said, adding that his country wanted to co-operate Pakistan in different sectors including education and heritage.
He further added that he would work for the betterment of the Pak-US relationship during his tenure as an ambassador in Pakistan.

    • Haha! Pakistan is one of the biggest recipient of DOLLARS from the US, if US wanted to destroy Pakistan, all they have to do is stop giving Pakistan money.

      {people like Shah Hussein are the biggest enemy of Pakistan and Islam, they are haters and live in a fools paradise of a non existant ummah, no Muslim country cares for Pakistan, travel the world and you will realize, Mr Hussein has obviously never left his village.

      Our real enemy is Afghanistan and India. Some fools do not even know who their true enemy is and who their friend is.

We have been hearing about American support in energy sector for the past 5 yrs….then when nothing happened, Pakistan was forced for Iran-Pak gas pipeline….after which America started to create more hurdles even though Pakistan govt arranged for finances through Iran who agreed to finance Pakistan part too…this arrangement was also not digestible to the American & threw a spanner when AAZ was going to Iran 3 days back.He was forced to change his program & instead went to UK / France….

    • yes you must be an angel…..first true Muslim does not spew hate about others, they did not delay anything, it was due to very complicated differences on many factors including pricing and Iran was not giving it for free, they are not emotional like you who think of" ummah"…. lol

    • Uncle Sam has kept us safe for many years, learn to thank them once in a while, not blame them 24/7.

      Uncle Sam gave us $Billions free, how much did Iran give us ever? They charge us International rates for every drop of oil or gas, they are not emotional like you.

      Why should we make US our enemy when i wants to be a friend? If Iran wants to be enemy of US let them be, do you think they will leave India for you? India is best friends with Iran. Does Iran care about Pakistan and Kashmir?
