Mushahid Hussain calls for improving trade amongst SAARC countries

Senate Defence Committee Chairman said that SAARC countries needed to take effective steps to improve bilateral trade.
Talking to a private news channel, he said that the balance of power has been shifting from the West to the East and SAARC member countries should take effective steps to enhance mutual trade relations.
He called for the development of an Asian Parliament along the lines of the European Parliament. He said that no political party or institution opposed India anymore and the judiciary was independent and strong. He said that SAARC countries must extend cooperation for mutual peace in Afghanistan.
Awami National Party Senator Haji Adil Ahmad said that SAARC member countries should remove visa restrictions for traders, investors, actors and journalists, and establish a SAARC Court to resolve internal disputes. The court would consist of a judge from each member country and resolve disputes between SAARC member countries, he added.
