Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rashid on Sunday said that there were seven families who occupied the country and were looting all the resources.
He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation from Khairpur led by Wazir Rajpar.
Rashid said that the country was severely gripped by corruption and the economy had collapsed as the rulers were borrowing money from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Commenting on the performance of the present government, he said the current rulers have broken all records of corruption.
He strongly criticised the Benazir Income Support Program and said if the BISP funds were to be utilised for establishing new industries, it would reduce the unemployment rate.
Commenting on his meeting with Pakistan Muslim League (F) Chief Pir Pagara, Rashid said that he had invited the chief to visit Islamabad.
Rashid further said that his party had made a seat adjustment deal with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chief Imran Khan for 12 seats.
Talking about the upcoming elections and campaigns, he said instead of holding big public gatherings, politicians should campaign through the media to avoid any untoward situation.
