1,198 vehicles stolen, snatched this year

Robbers stole around 1,198 vehicles from Rawalpindi this year. According to sources, 1,396 vehicles had been stolen or snatched in the previous year, and the number of car theft incidents had decreased by 16 percent this year. Around 819 motorcycles were stolen this year, while 839 motorcycles had been stolen last year. This year, 371 cars, 169 other vehicles and 700 motorcycles were stolen, while 140 vehicles had been snatched in Rawalpindi. Around 8 cars, 11 other vehicles and 31 motorcycles were stolen and 13 vehicles had been snatched in Jehlum. Likewise, 29 cars, 14 other vehicles and 31 motorcycles were stolen and 29 vehicles were snatched in Attock. Around five cars, 9 other vehicles and 57 motorcycles were stolen and 20 vehicles were snatched in Chakwal. Around 125 FIRs for cattle theft had also been registered in different police stations in Rawalpindi.
