NAB to control corruption with help of national institutions: Chairman

National Accountability Bureau Chairman Admiral (r) Fasih Bukhari has said that with the help of national institutions the bureau would eliminate the menace of corruption.
He said that the main objective of the NAB was to identify elements involved in corruption and take action against them. He said that all available resources would be utilised for the betterment of the country. He said that an independent bureaucracy and regulating mechanism would help control corruption. Bukhari added that strengthening the bureaucracy would bring positive results. Replying to a question, he said that identifying corruption fell in the purview of the NAB while the FIA and other departments were working to eliminate the menace on a small scale. Answering another question regarding recovery in the power sector, he said that the NAB would follow the court’s decision.
