Five persons lost their lives whereas nine got injured when a jeep fell into a ravine in the Nala Kath area of Kotli.
According to media reports, Prime Minister Azad Kashmir, Chaudhary Abdul Majeed announced a compensation of Rs150,000 for the deceased and Rs75,000 for the injured.
The jeep was going to Kotli from Tatta Pani. The accident occurred as the brakes of the jeep failed.
The injured were shifted to the Kotli Hospital for medical treatment while bodies of those who expired were handed over to the family members.
