Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif, taking notice of charging inflated fee by the contractor of the parking plaza at Fawara Chowk, has called a detailed report in this regard.
President of Anjuman-e-Tajran Bara Market, Sheikh Ishaq, vice President Sajid Butt and Secretary Akbar Khan filled a complaint to the chief minister that the contractor was charging inflated fee for parking in the parking plaza.
They said that the contractor was charging Rs240 per day and Rs3,500 monthly parking instead of approved Rs. 50 per day and Rs1,200 per month respectively.
The trader community had said that they have no option to park their vehicles on roads instead of in the parking plaza and pay unlawful inflated fee. They demanded strict action should be taken against the contractor for over-charging.
