Special Investigation Unit (SIU) police have busted a gang of robbers and arrested four accused including its leader a charming woman by raiding a flat in Gulistan-e-Jauhar on Saturday.
SIU SSP Farooq Awan said that on a tip-off a raid was conducted on a flat located in Pahelwan Goth, Gulistan-e-Jauhar and arrested the four accused including a woman, who he claimed to be the gang leader and recovered arms from them, media reports said.
He further said that one of the accused of this gang was killed as he tried to escape the police raid by jumping down from the fourth floor.
SSP Farooq Awan said that the accused are involved in scores of bank and house robberies.
