Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday said that the crisis in the country would deepen if President Asif Ali Zardari and his party would remain in power.
Talking to members of the provincial assembly from different districts, Shahbaz said that the rulers were stealing national wealth and they had dragged the country in a cesspool of corruption.
He said that Transparency International report had revealed the corruption and bad governance of current Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) led coalition government.
The CM said that Pakistan was a nuclear power which had been made to bow down before other countries, adding that current corrupt government had once taken the begging bowl to meet its needs.
The CM said that country was seeking foreign aid only because of failed economic policies of PPP-led government.
