Two robbers were killed and three motorways police personnel injured in separate police encounters here late Tuesday night.
According to details, the police on being informed approached three robbers who were busy in looting in a house located in Dalmai village, Kala Khatai Road of Shahdara.
The robbers also injured a resident upon resistance. Upon seeing the police party, the robbers started firing and tried to flee. In retaliatory fire two robbers were killed while their cohort taking advantage of darkness managed to escape.
The police recovered arms and looted valuables from the possession of robbers killed in the fire exchange.
The second incident took place near Bhai Phairu Bypass where motorways police intercepted robbers busy in picket looting. The robbers started firing at police injuring three cops and fled the scene.
