DIG Motorway Police Punjab , Rai Altaf Hussain and Zahoor Ahmad were elected unopposed President and Secretary of the Pakistan Touch Ball Federation here on Tuesday at the general council meeting. The outgoing President, Riaz Fatyana ,MNA presided over the meeting which elected its Senior Vice President, Altaf as the new President . Fatyana was also elected as Chairman of the body for a fresh term of four years. Following office bearers were also elected, (Vice Presidents), Brig retd Farook Yaqub, Mian Sohail Nisar, Muhammad Younas and Saaed Iqbal Khan. (Treasurer) Saeed Ahmad Khan. (Member of the executive committee), Nisar Ahmad Shenwari, Salma Masood, Rabia Kausar, Muhammad Ramzan Kasuri and Wisal Muhammad, Muhammad Hafeez, Shah Muhammad and one representative each from member of referring association, coaching association . “The house took a number of important decisions pertaining to the promotion of the game besides finalizing the activity programme for the year 2013,” said Zahoor after his election,” he said. He said PTBF is taking all out measures for the overall development of the game and it is regularly organizing events at senior and junior level for forming a strong base of touch ball in the country . PTBF official said the inter department and national championships will be played from February 19- 22 next year at Islamabad . The inter provincial championship will take place at Lodhran in March. International coaching course will be held in May at Karachi. “The national junior championship will be played in October and Pakistan senior team will participate in three international events to be organized in Dubai, Malaysia and Thailand,” he asserted.
