Three children lost their lives when a coal heater in the Talhar area burst into flames and set their house ablaze, officials said on Tuesday.
According to the local police, a heater that was being used in a house in the Talhar area caused fire to erupt which engulfed the house.
In similar incident, three men were killed in Rawalpindi last week.
Islamabad and its surrounding areas have been gripped with a cold wave after heavy showers and snowfall on mountains. The use of coal heaters in the region needs to be a matter of concern for the authorities and there is a need to educate people in order to avoid such incidents in future.
