Japanese wrestlers in Peshawar for Peace Wrestling

The World fame Japanese wrestler, Antonio Inoki and his team members arrived in Peshawar on Tuesday for “Wrestling for Peace Festival” to be held in Peshawar today. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Sports, Tourism and Archives, Syed Aqil Shah received the honourable guests on this occasion. MPA Shagufta Malik, Director Sports, Altaf Umerzai, DCO Peshawar Javed Marwat, Honorary Consul General for Japan, Fazal Karim Afridi and others were also present on this occasion. Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome given by the provincial government and Minister Sports, Inoki said the purpose of holding wrestling for peace festival in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was to show the real face of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the world, adding that they were peaceful and hospitable. He said that we aim promotion and restoration of peace with the scheduled festival, adding that if we all worked with unity for peace than the terrorists would face defeat. The Provincial Minister, Syed Aqil Shah and MPA Shagufta Malik thanked the Japani wrestlers for his efforts for restoration of peace. He said that the wrestling for peace festival which is going to start in Peshawar on 5th December would be witnessed by 25000 audiences and the entire world would also watch it through the media.
