Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rahman on Monday said there was no such movement as “Taliban” anywhere in Pakistan, a private TV channel reported. “We do not recognise the movement, which the forces have officially acknowledged as Taliban’s. It was simply unacceptable to us,” he told a press conference. Fazl warned against dubbing anyone as terrorist. “No one can be allowed to brand someone as a terror-monger,” he said. He said his party had always raised voice for sectarian harmony and would continue to do so, adding that seminaries, clerics and students were being targeted under a conspiracy.
