Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that the incompetent and corrupt federal government is responsible for pushing the country into the quagmire of problems and added that, as a result of its defective policies, the people are facing worst loadshedding, while corruption has shaken the foundations of the country.
He said that Pakistan Muslim League-N is fully prepared for the next general elections and, Insha Allah, would achieve a thumping success.
He expressed these views in an interview to a foreign journal. Shahbaz Sharif said that loadshedding has dealt irreparable damage to the economy of the country, for which all responsibility lies with the federal government which has not generated a single megawatt of electricity, during the last four and a half years. He said that the
indifference of the rulers can be imagined from the fact that the machinery meant for energy projects at Nandi Pur and Chicho Ki Miliyan is lying at the Karachi port, which has not been released, due to greed.
He said had Chicho Ki Miliyan and Nandi Pur energy projects been completed, within the stipulated period, two years ago, loadshedding would have been overcome to some extent. He said corruption has badly shaken the foundations of the country, due to dishonest rulers, who have destroyed national institutions, because of their loot and plunder and nepotism. He said corruption, worth billions of rupees, was committed in the name of rental power plants, which was taken notice of by the Supreme Court, directing the return of the looted amount. He said the stories of corruption and loot and plunder, perpetrated by the federal government, are known to everyone, and a high-ranking personality of the country is involved in it. He said eradication of corruption and holding of general elections is highly essential in order to combat the problems being faced by the people. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said people are sick of the corrupt
government, and want to get rid of it.
Talking about Indo-Pak relations, the Chief Minister said that both the countries would have to sit together
to solve their problems in a peaceful manner, as wars have given nothing to both of them, except poverty and destruction. He said all issues would have to be amicably solved, like good neighbors, along with ensuring boost in
mutual trade and economic ties.

  1. As a reward, anybody who promises to stop corruption should be given one of SHAH HUSSAIN/SACH HAQ's sisters. He has enough of them and they can take on more than one man at a time anyway. If we start running out of his sisters, his father can produce more.
