Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira left for Kyrgyzstan to attend the Shangai Cooperation Organization Heads of Governments Council meeting beginning in Bishkek.
He will represent Pakistan at the meeting.
Talking to media prior to his departure‚ he said SCO meeting will help Pakistan containing the menace of terrorism.
Pakistan will seek permanent membership of the Shangai Cooperation Organization during the meeting.
