Rangers to be deployed for Punjab bye-polls

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to deploy Rangers for Today’s bye-elections in five constituencies of Punjab.
The bye-polls would be held in the constituencies NA-107 Gujrat-IV, NA-162 Sahiwal-III, PP-26 Jhelum-III, PP-92 Gujranwala-II and PP-122 Sialkot-II.
The ECP spokesman said the decision was taken in wake of complaints about possible rigging in votes. He said Rangers would remain deployed till election results.
He said the voting results would be handed over returning District Returning Officers under the supervision of paramilitary troops.

  1. I think election commission seems to be ignorant that all kind of bogus votes are cast in the presence of rangers, state protection and all know who commands this force to act like ghost voter protector guard in election day.
