The traffic system has been ruined due to long queues of vehicles at Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations in the twin cities, while on the other side, most of domestic users have been deprived of gas and the citizens have been forced to burn wood to cook meal.
The CNG stations owners have been taking inflated charges from the consumers. While the log queues of vehicles could be seen at CNG stations which has ruined the traffic system in the twin cities.
On the other hand, the severe cold weather has engulfed the twin cities but most of the residential areas, including Adyala Road, Khatana, Dhoke Jumma, Mubarik Lane, Sadiqabad and Shakrial and other areas are deprived of gas. The citizens have been forced to burn wood for cooking.
The citizens expressed concerns, saying the authorities have not been paying attention to resolve the issue of gas loadshedding. They said that they were poor people and could not afford kerosene oil for domestic cooking. Citizens have demanded of the concerned authorities to quickly solve the problem of the citizens.
It should be mentioned here that President of NBP Forum, Zafar Iqbal said the government should stop the gas wastage, adding that increasing the gas and CNG prices was not the solution.
