Low intensity tremor measuring 3.5 magnitude on Richter scale was felt in Lahore city and others area of the Punjab, the met office said.
According to reports, the tremors were felt in Faislabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Qasur, Khanewal and other area of the province.
Panic gripped the areas people who came out of their houses reciting verses from the Holy Quran.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department said the intensity of the quake was recorded 3.5 magnitude on the Richter scale.
However no loss of life or property has been reported from the affected areas.
