The police on Thursday arrested seven accused for stealing the steel fence of Bus Rapid Transit Project (BRTS) and recovered a trawler and crane laden with fences. According to details, the accused were loading steel fences of BRTS to shift them to an undisclosed location when the government engineer, Rana Mushtaq, present near the scene informed the police.
Manawan Police, responding to the complaint, reached the spot and arrested seven persons and recovered a trawler and a crane laden with steel fences.
Engineer Rana Mushtaq told the police that arrested accused were neither government employees nor did they have any contact with contractor of the project.
