Pakistan has expressed full support for the Ulema conference to be held in Kabul in January next.
This assurance was given by Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar during a meeting with her Afghan counterpart Zalmai Rassoul in Islamabad on Friday afternoon.
She said recent visit of Afghan High Peace Council remained fruitful. She said both Afghanistan and Pakistan are facing the problems of drug trafficking and narcotics and need joint efforts to overcome these.
Zalmai Rassoul said Pakistan has an important role to play for the peace and stability in Afghanistan.
He said dialogue must continue for the peace process to succeed.
The Afghan Foreign Minister said “we want stronger relations with Pakistan and both countries need to enhance bilateral trust”.
