Property tycoon Malik Riaz has decided to file a case against Dr Arsalan Iftikhar in London on charges of extortion of money.
Suleman, son-in-law of Riaz, has hired the services of lawyers in London in this connection, a private TV channel said.
Suleman has taken the plea that Arsalan Iftikhar grabbed millions of rupees from his father-in-law through blackmailing.
This was extended to shopping by Arsalan and his family, their stay in hotels, tickets for travelling and cash, he added.
Suleman said the money was extorted from his father-in-law through blackmailing, which was a heinous crime in the light of law of the state.
When contacted, Dr Abdul Basit, counsel for Riaz, confirmed that preparations were underway to register a case against Dr Arsalan in London and services of leading lawyers were being hired on this count.
Malik Riaz had earlier said he did not expect any justice from the Suddle Commission as it had made all arrangements to acquit Arsalan.
He said he had resorted to lawyers in London in connection with recovery of the amount extorted by Arsalan.
“We have never been deterred nor will be deterred by the Suddle Commission. This commission is not practising neutrality in conducting the investigation,” he had said.
“Witnesses of the case want to come to Pakistan from London, but they are receiving threats of dire consequences, therefore, I have decided to launch legal proceedings against the accused in London for the sake of justice,” Riaz added.
