Centralised Call Centre Management System and Supporting Services have been successfully implemented and deployed by Information Technology Department, Government of Sindh, in coordination with the police department under the project of introduction of e-police in Sindh.
Sindh Minister for Information Technology Muhammad Raza Haroon said this while reviewing the progress of development projects of IT department at his office here today. Under the project, vehicle tracking system has been installed into more than 100 emergency response vehicles so far provided by the police department. This process is being continued as per availability of the vehicles, the minister added. The Madadgar 15 Call Centre has been fully operative and functional since January 13, 2011, and the Madadgar 15 staff of the police department is fully trained and attending emergency live calls 24/7 on the new established system. The police department has already taken over the administrative and operational control of the Madadgar 15 Call Centre for the last 11 months, the minister concluded.
