‘Country corrupt, insecure due to incumbent rulers’

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Thursday blamed the rulers of the country for the embarrassing 7th place of Pakistan in the list of corrupt and dangerous countries.
He said that report by World Justice Project for the year 2012 reflected the graph of corruption in all sectors and that Pakistan has resorted to pleading and begging internationally.
Qureshi said that the reason behind bad governance and deteriorating situation of all the sectors was the ill-will of the power holders who were involved in corruption and were hesitant for reform in any system.
He said that Pakistan’s economic and human development index were already in a poor condition and now index of rule of law and development had also fallen. He claimed that was actually the final warning to the masses to act immediately before the country deteriorates to shambles.
He said that PTI had a clear stance on corruption and that he found it pitiable that not only was the government unable to stop corruption, it was also involved in stealing from the people. come forward to play its role in the national scenario.
