Bid to blow up Bolan Express foiled in Larkana

The police and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) foiled a bid to blow up Bolan Express with explosives here on late Thursday night.
According to details, unknown miscreants had planted locally manufactured bomb at railway track about one kilometer away from Larkana Railway Station aimed at blasting Quetta-Karachi bound Bolan Express.
However, the police detected the explosives after which BDS was called which defused the bomb.
Police said that the bomb could have caused massive life loss if it had exploded but timely action prevented the huge losses.
Meanwhile, unknown armed men opened heavy aerial firing in Qasimabad area of Hyderabad creating panic and fright among the dwellers. All the shops and trade centres in the area were closed after the firing incident.
Unidentified miscreants set ablaze a vehicle of private company near Telegram railway crossing in Kotri.
The police registered separate cases in all incidents at concerned police stations and started the investigations.
