The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Wednesday released a video of the abducted staffers of the FATA Development Authority (FDA), showing the hostages begging the government to arrange their release as the kidnappers threatened to kill them in case their demands were not met until December 6.
The FDA employees were kidnapped by the Taliban about a year ago on December 10, 2011.
The 110 seconds long video clip shows FDA engineer Khursheed pleading the authorities to help secure their release or else the Taliban would kill them after expiry of the final deadline. Khursheed is seen speaking in Pashto, saying he and his colleagues were kidnapped from the Darazinda area while conducting a survey for minerals exploration.
During the past 10 days, the TTP has released three videos of the hostages. In the previous video, abducted employees of Gomal Zam Dam were seen begging the government and WAPDA to accept the Taliban demands before December 3.
