Sindh Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Muhammad Ayaz Soomro said on Wednesday that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is the most popular democratic party in the country. He said that the foundation day of the PPP would be marked on November 30 in a befitting manner. The minister further stated that the history of the PPP was known to everyone and the party had boldly faced dictators, while the leadership and the workers of the PPP rendered innumerable sacrifices for the cause of establishing democracy as a political system in the country. He rejected the criticism of detractors and said that they should first look into their own murky past before criticising the PPP for its agendas. Soomro said that it was not fair on the part of such elements to misguide the people just for the sake of politicking. He stated that instead of resorting to strikes and protests, efforts should be made for strengthening the economy of the province as this would help strengthen Sindh as well as Pakistan to usher in a new era of peace and development.
