Fawad Chaudhary, legal counsel of former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, said on Wednesday that his client will not appear before the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). According to reports, Yousuf Raza Gilani was supposed to appear before FIA on November 28 in reference to the Hajj scam. Chaudhry said that as all the relevant details have been provided to the FIA, there is no need for his client to appear before the state agency. “Yousuf Raza Gilani was summoned without consulting the Ministry of Law; the FIA is trying to malign my client’s reputation,” he added.
