President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday held one-on-one meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah here in Karachi and discussed the current political and law-and-order situation in the province.
According to media reports, the two high-ups exchanged views over Sindh nationalists’ strike call for November 30 (Friday) against recently introduced local government system which drew condemnation from various parties, including former PPP allies in Sindh – Awami National Party and Pir Pagara’s Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F).
In the wake of Friday’s province-wide strike, the president has reportedly directed the CM to establish contacts with all the political forces opposing Sindh People Local Government Ordinance (SPLGO).
Shah also briefed the president over law and order situation in Sindh, especially in Karachi where the Supreme Court of Pakistan has been hearing a case regarding unrest in the metropolis, the hub of Pakistan’s economic activities.

  1. What amazes me is that hundreds if not thousands of people are dead and all you ever hear is that they discussed it,never what they'll do about it.I think the people understand that these so called leaders are part of the BIG problem the country has been facing for the last almost 5 years. It may not have been great in the past but it was never this bad, this government took the cake, there is not one thing I can think of that is going good in the country.
