LPG price in Pakistan jacked up by rupees 15/kg

The price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has been once again increased by rupees 15 per kilogram on the justification of scarcity of the product.
According to reports, after the raise, each domestically used cylinder 110 rupees while commercial once will be sold for rupees 440. Per kilo price of the product has now been raised in Karachi to 125 to 140 per kg, while in Gilgit and Fata, it has touched the mark of 200/kg.
Reacting to the fresh move, Chairman LPG Distributors Association, Irfan Khokhar said that surge in the price on the pretext of dearth of the commodity is ‘sheer injustice’ which will affect a large number of consumers. He also said that the move was made without approval from the government.
