Doctors’ strike in all government hospitals in Balochistan including Civil Hospital and Bolan Medical Complex on Wednesday entered 42nd consecutive day despite the government’s stern action.
The doctors on call by Pakistan Medical Association Balochistan (PMA) went on strike on November 17 in all private and government hospitals in protest over the kidnapping of Dr Saeed and other missing doctors.
The government has begun providing healthcare facilities at the CMH with the help of the Pakistan Army.
The government on Tuesday decided to take back the official residences from the on-strike doctors, after issuing show-cause notices. Also, their salaries have been stopped beforehand.
The Provincial Government also published advertisements in newspapers for the recruitment of new doctors.
The striking doctors demanded the government to apologize over its attitude and conduct judicial inquiry into the police manhandling of the doctors’ rally.
The hassle between the government and the doctors have increased problems for the patients.
