The CNG supply at filling stations across the city is expected to resume on Thursday after a three-day weekly closure. The Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) supply to filling stations in Lahore, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal and Multan regions was closed on Monday under government’s load-management plan. It will resume at 6 pm Thursday, followed by a three-day closure in Faisalabad, Bahawalpur and Islamabad. STAFF REPORT
CNG stations went on an unannounced strike on Monday across the country, posing serious troubles to commuters following inconclusive talks between the CNG Dealers Association and the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
The CNG closure added to miseries of people using CNG-powered vehicles or relying on CNG-run transport as public transport turned thin on roads, making it hard for office workers and students to reach their destinies.
