Clashes erupt in Cairo’s Tahrir Square

Fresh clashes have erupted in Tahrir Square, Cairo between police and protesters at a decree by President Muhammad Morsi granting himself sweeping powers.
According to the reports, police have fired tear gas to disperse protesters in a street near the square.
Yesterday, thousands of protesters rallied in Tahrir Square to demand that Morsi rescind his decrees, which exempted his decisions from judicial review.
The Health Ministry said at least 100 people were injured during yesterday’s protests.
At least two people have died in violence since Morsi’s decree.
