Abducted Doctor recovered from Quetta

Abducted eye specialist Dr Saeed Khan, who was kidnapped 43 days back, has been recovered from Quetta on Wednesday.
Family sources said the recovery of Dr Saeed was made after payment of ransom.
Dr Khan was abducted by unidentified armed men on October 16 from Sariab road, Quetta.
It is pertinent here that doctors’ of Balochistan had been on strike since his abduction demanding his immediate recovery.
Talking to media at his residence, Dr. Saeed expressed concern over the target killing and kidnapping of doctors in Balochistan saying that it must be ended.
Dr Saeed said that he was released after payment of ransom demanded by the kidnappers; however he didn’t reply who paid this money and what was the amount of the ransom.
Meanwhile, PMA Balochistan President Dr. Shehzada said there is no role of government behind the recovery of Dr. Saeed Ahmed and the abducted doctor was released after paying ransom money.
PMA Balochistan leader Dr. Shehzada demanded the government to provide security to doctors in the province.
The doctors who went on strike following the abduction of an eye specialist will continue their strike until the local police seek apology from them for offensive behavior, he added.
Dr Shehzada said he could not give breaking news about strike ending however he said the decision in this regard would be made after meeting of PMA members.
The provincial government, meantime moving against the striking doctors, suspended them from services, held back their salaries and expelled them from official residences.
The government also published advertisements in newspapers for the recruitment of new doctors.
