Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Syed Khursheed Shah said that Violence in Karachi was begotten by Taliban and not by the political parties operating in the financial hub of the country. Talking to sources, the minister said that fool proof arrangements had been made by the authorities to avert violence on the 9th and 10th of Muharram. He said that Taliban wanted to set Karachi ablaze during the two holiest mourning days of the Shitte Sect but no act of violence was a proof that the security agencies were efficient and effective organisations. Responding to a question, the minister said that to ensure peace in Karachi, all stakeholders need to sit down and draft a strategy in accordance with the constitution of Pakistan.
