Terming the controversial Sindh Peoples Local Government Ordinance as a ‘state within state”, Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that Sindh masses had rejected it, out-rightly.
In his recent statement the PML-N president has declared the system as an endeavor to divide the masses of Sindh, according to which PPP and MQM had destroyed the very peace, good governance, and socio-economic structure of the Province, under the cover of ‘politics of reconciliation’.
“This has affected the peace, law and order, harmony of Sindh since past five years, resulting in deaths of thousands of innocent citizens”, he stated.
He reminded that PML-N alongwith rest of political parties had strongly supported the peaceful political struggle of Sindhi masses, journalists, members of civil society, artists, intelligentsia and writers against this strong controversy; and would continue to do so, into future.
Nawaz Sharif also cited the “Sindh Bachao committee” (Save Sindh Committee) as being the active part of PML-N Sindh chapter, while he also condemned the insulting attitude of PPP ministers against PML(F)’s female parliamentarians.
The PML-N president also announced his support for the peaceful strike and observance of black day by “Sindh Bachao committee”, on 30th Nov.
