National T-20 from Nov 2 at Lahore

The National T-20 Cricket Cup has been shifted to Lahore from Karachi and the event will be played on December 2 to 10 at the Gaddafi Stadium.
“There will be no day and night matches and only day matches will be played and we hope a full house during the event which ends on December 10,” said a spokesman of Pakistan Cricket Board here on Monday.
A high level meeting was held here to make preparations for the event and to host in a befitting manner . The meeting was attended by Director General, PCB, Javed Miandad , Zakir Khan, Director Domestic , PCB, other officials of the PCB and President, Lahore City Cricket Association Khawaja Nadim Ahmad .
“It was a basic meeting which focused on holding the event in Lahore after its shifting from Karachi,” he said.
He further said: “The preparations have been started and we are confident to complete all the arrangements well ahead of the tournament.”
President, LCCA, gave his input on various organizational matters of the event and said LCCA will extend all out support to PCB in the successful holding of the event . “ We are always with PCB for supplementing its efforts for the cause of cricket and we welcome the holding of exciting cricket in Lahore “,he said adding “ We hope that all the matches of the event will be witnessed by large gatherings “.
The meeting was also attended by other officials of the PCB who also put up their useful suggestions for the smooth conduct of the competition.
Meanwhile preparations began at Gaddafi Stadium to make the arena fit for holding the matches. Chief groundman, Haji Mohammad Bashir was seen busy in preparation of the wicket.
“The dusting will be started soon to clean the plastic chair installed in various enclosures which will be washed for cleaning,” said the spokesman.
