The Lahore High Court (LHC), taking notice of death of prisoner under trial on Monday, sought a report about doctors appointed in jails. According to details, a prisoner named Mumtaz was sick and due to lack of proper healthcare facilities in jail, had requested for treatment in Services Hospital.
The court said that the deceased’s death occurred due to insufficient healthcare facilities and sought a report about doctors appointed in jail.
Meanwhile, LHC sought replies from the parties on ban imposed on the display of two movies, Pakistani movie Bol and a Hollywood movie Ten Commandments on the writ petition of a local advocate.
The court ordered both the parties to submit their reply within two weeks.
