Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has sent contstable Tariq Mehmood to jail on 14 days judicial remand. He was charged with threatening to blow up interior ministry in bomb blast.
The accused was produced before judge Javed Iqbal of ATC No 2 on Tuesday. The court sent the accused to jail on 14 days judicial remand after hearing the arguments of both sides.
Talking to media men after hearing of the case, Tariq Mehmood constable said “ only EMI number of my cell phone was used during the entire activity and the sim which was used was not in my name. Had I been involved fully in this matter the agencies would have taken away me but in my case the agencies carried out only investigation and I was cleared from it”.
On the other hand DPR Peshawar said the accused Tariq Mehmood had lost mental equilibrium and he was in row with his associate Aslam since long . Tariq tried to entrap Aslam but he himself fell into his own trap, he added.
