Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz has announced launching evening classes and providing laptops to the seminary students to promote education in the province.
He stated this while presiding over a ceremony regarding distribution of laptops among students on Monday. Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) leaders Senator Pervez Rasheed, Zaheem Qadri, Chairman P&D, Secretary Finance, officials of Higher Education Schools and other concerned institutions also attended the ceremony.
Addressing the function Shahbaz Sharif said that one lakh laptops would be distributed among the talented students on merit and Rs4 billion have been allocated for the purpose.
He said that evening classes would be started for seminary students and they would be provided 4000 laptops.
The Chief Minister said that all the laptops would reach Lahore before Dec 10, and the distribution process and distributed under a transparent manner.
