Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has expressed satisfaction over the peaceful culmination of Ashura processions throughout the country.
The prime minister praised the personnel of law enforcement agencies for their untiring efforts to maintain peace and ensure security during Moharram.
He said that an inquiry has been ordered into the terrorist attack in DI Khan where many innocent civilians lost their lives and has directed that those responsible for incident would be brought to book.
He thanked all federal and provincial agencies including the armed forces, provincial governments, provincial and regional officials responsible for maintenance of law and order for their hard work.
He also appreciated the Interior Minister Rehman Malik for taking measures and successfully overseeing and monitoring the security situation for ensuring peace during Ashura.
